Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the Residency app provided by NextGen App Studio ("we", "our", "us"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the app. By using it you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. The service
Residency is a society and residency management app: members join a residency, view and pay maintenance bills, and read notices and events; admins manage members, dues, expenses, and notices. The app does not process payments — it records the payment status that residents and admins report. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile information, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Residencies, roles, and admins
Anyone can create a residency and becomes its admin. Joining a residency needs the residency's invite code and the approval of an admin. Admins are responsible for the accuracy of the members, dues, expenses, and notices they manage, and for using resident data only for running the residency. We are not a party to arrangements between a residency's admins and its members.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit false, misleading, or unlawful information, or impersonate another person;
- upload files or post notices that are infringing, unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or spam;
- attempt to bypass security or access-control rules, scrape the service, or disrupt its operation;
- misuse the app in any way that harms other users or us.
We may remove any content, and suspend or terminate any account, that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the information and files you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and process that content within the app for the purpose of operating the service. You are solely responsible for the content you submit and for ensuring you have the rights to submit it.
7. Membership plans
The app shows membership plans for a residency. Unless and until in-app billing is introduced and presented to you, no payment is taken by the app for a plan. When billing is introduced, separate terms will apply and will be shown before any charge.
8. Third-party services
The app relies on third-party services including our database, storage, and authentication provider and our error-reporting provider. We are not responsible for third-party services.
9. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time and request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the app. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 6, 10, 11, and 12) will survive.
10. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that the dues, expenses, or other records shown are accurate — those are entered and managed by your residency's admins.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NextGen App Studio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the app.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold NextGen App Studio harmless from any claim or demand arising out of your content, your use of the app, or your breach of these Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any non-waivable rights you have under local law, the courts at [PLACEHOLDER — city, India] will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date shown in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
